Technical Equipment

As with art, congress|graz does not believe in technology for its own sake, but rather as a means to an end.

That is why cutting-edge event technology is always available, and is in evidence everywhere from the air conditioning system to the sound and lighting systems, and a wide range of projection formats. Event organisers also have access wireless internet via WLAN hotspots, structure cabling throughout the building and a simultaneous interpreting system for up to 16 languages. Everything reflects our philosophy of treating communication as an art form, and art as a catalyst of communication.

congress|graz is a venue for events of all kinds — with a prime city centre location.

The 2,900 sqm of space, spread across 19 halls and rooms with capacities of up to 1,100 people, give event organisers the flexibility they need. The centre can host conferences with up to 1,500 delegates, as well as balls, banquets and special events for up to 2,300 people, with first-class catering services available throughout the building.

Artists’ dressing rooms

congress|graz has six dressing rooms:

3 orchestra dressing rooms (44–50 sqm; see Meeting 1–3 on floor plan)
2 soloists’ dressing rooms (approx. 20 sqm each)
1 conductor’s dressing room (approx. 40 sqm)

Foyer Saal Steiermark

Licht von Obern

In der Neugestaltung des Foyers zum Saal Steiermark zeigt sich besonders eidnrucksvoll, wie aktuelle Kunst ihr Umfeld aufwerten kann. Ein an sich schwieriger Raum wurde durch die beiden Arbeiten des Bildhauers Michael Kienzer und des Zeichners Tobias Pils spürbar weiter. Transitraum wurde wertvoller Aufenthaltsraum.
