Lurgrotte

The grotto Lurgrotte crosses the hills between the villages of Semriach and Peggau and has an entrance at both villages. The Lurgrotte has one of the most beautiful stalactite cave in Austria. The attraction in Semriach: the light-sound-experience in the “Huge Dome – Großer Dom”.

Thermal Baths

Immerge into a peace of mind – that is what the Styrian „hot“ thermal waters stand for. Between the romantic castles full of snow, along the extinct volcanos in the south-eastern part of Styria, there are the thermal baths Hundertwassertherme Rogner-Bad Blumau, Loipersdorf, Bad Waltersdorf, Bad Radkersburg and Bad Gleichenberg.

The gorge Bärenschützklamm

Whoever is looking for an adventure between rocks and thunderous waterfalls will find it in the gorge Bärenschützklamm. With its 24 thunderous waterfalls it is the most beautiful water bearing rocky gorge of Austria. The starting point for most tours is at the village in Mixnitz. In the year 2001, the 100th anniversary of the upstream footpath through the gorge was celebrated.

Lipizzaner horses

And now to the home of the Lipizzaner white horses: the Piber Federal Stud of the Spanish Riding School. The drive out to Piber is not only worth it for horse freaks but for all those who are interested in the wonderful western part of Styria with its famous dark pumpkin seed oil, the onion-coloured Schilcher wine or the St. Barbara church, which was creatively restored and modified by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
