Hall to beat them all
Since October 2002 Austria's most modern city convention center, Stadthalle Graz, has been setting new accents in the Styrian capital, Graz. It was designed and completed by the internationally well-known architect, Klaus Kada. Stadthalle Graz is now considered the landmark of Graz, because of its ambitious and enterprising architecture.
Convention Center - Stadthalle Graz:
Austria's highly modern, multi-functional convention center for concerts, sports events, TV shows, congresses, galas, M.I.C.E. events and much more.
- An area of 6,500 m2 without pillars; completely equipped with air-conditioning and the latest technology for exhibitions or exhibition fairs it is possible to extend the area to about 14,000 m2.
- Standing room for 11,000
- Seating capacity for 8,000
Rotating and sliding doors
Half of the hall can be opened using rotating and sliding doors, creating a seamless transition from interior to exterior, and making the Messepark a part of the new Stadthalle complex. The resulting open air effect is unique throughout Europe.
Open-Air Effect:
Below a spectacular roof construction an architectural room concept unfolds and opens in all directions and not only because of the glass façades. With the turning and sliding doors it is possible to open half of the space of the hall so that the interior and exterior spaces are completely merged. Thus, the outdoor ground of the fair is integrated with the indoor area and results in an open-air-effect that is unique in all of Europe.
Ground floor:
3 spaciously designed entrance halls (south, north, center) give a total of 3,000 m2; ticket office, toilets also accessible for the disabled, sanitary center, information office, utility elevator, and public catering.
First floor:
The versatility of the convention center, Stadthalle Graz, is best emphasised by the modern conference centre located on the first floor. Space for seminars and plenary meetings from 55 m2 up to 630 m2, VIP-café, terraces, press club and video conferencing room. Perfect for seminars, banquets, conferences, company presentations, etc.
Catering:
Sophisticated, in-house catering for every kind of occasion.
Outdoor Fair Space:
Ideal for cocktail receptions in summer.
